LOST FRIENDSHIP

We started out as the best of Friends,
Nothing could seperate us.
We shared anything and everything,
The heartbreaks, the joys and tears.
We shared a special bond that we thought could never be broken.
Our Friendship was at its peak
And wave after wave of happiness swept over us,
Like waves breaking on a beach
But then the warm and golden glow,
That had shone on us like the sun,
It left us, and the sun suddenly set,
leaving me in darkness.
Lost and lonely, without you to guide me,
desperately I called out your name,
praying for you to help me.
But you never heard or answered me
And slowly you drifted away,
And I was left to drown in a lonely sea of sadness.
And then, as I struggled to surface,
I suddenly knew I had lost you
and the friendship we had struggled so hard to build.
And then, defeated, I slowly went under,
And tears fell from my eyes
As I wept in total despair
For the Friendship I had LOST.
